On January 14, 1999, Lynette was stabbed in the bedroom of her Koona Street home in Albion Park Rail.
She had been home alone late that night; when family members returned home at 1am from a fishing trip they found she had made her way from her bedroom to the lounge room and was trying to call Triple 0.
Lynette was rushed to Wollongong Hospital but passed away a short time after arriving.
