WACO, Texas — The Waco High School Lion Pride marching band had a chance to perform on one of its biggest ever stages this October, and earned themselves a top 10 finish in the process.

The Waco High School band performed at AT&T Stadium in Arlington during the USBands Southwest Championships, earning 9th place in their division, Waco ISD announced in a post on social media.

"Their hard work paid off as they delivered an impressive show and finished 9th in their division," the district said. "So proud of our talented musicians!"

Waco ISD was not the only Central Texas district represented at the contest. Two Killeen ISD bands also performed at the Championships.
