WILKES-BARRE — Wilkes-Barre City Council at its combined work session and voting meeting Thursday plan to discuss awarding a million dollar contract to Pennsy Supply Inc. for an upcoming street paving project.

The bid was for $1,133,533 and would be paid using Community Development Block Grand and Liquid Fuels funding, according to the agenda.

Streets (or portions of) being paved in the project include:

• Mundy Street (Scott to Spring)

• North Fulton Street (Amber to Coal)

• South Main Street (Hazle to East Ross)

• South Main Street (Pennsylvania to Wood)

• Shiber Lane (High to Grove)

• East Thomas Street (Scott to City Line)

• Burrier Street (Hillman to end)

• North Pennsylvania Avenue (East North to Butler)

Council will also discuss and vote on another round of Local Share Ass
