PINEVILLE, La. (KALB) - On Nov. 3, the Pineville Downtown Development District met for an open meeting in city council chambers for continued discussion on how the city can utilize and redevelop two parcels on the grounds of the former Central Louisiana State Hospital.

Those two parcels are on Shell Road and Rainbow Ridge. An idea is to provide single-family housing on those grounds.

Mike Tudor, Chairman of the Pineville Downtown Development District, shared, “We think we can serve those parcels with city utilities versus the interior, and we feel like it’s manageable to us to offer these out.”
