Boston’s Logan International Airport has seen more delays and cancellations recently. But unlike other airports around the country, it’s not due to the federal government shutdown .
A spokesperson for Massport, the agency that oversees the airport, most of the recent delays have been due to either weather conditions or construction that has left one runway closed .
And those delays will likely continue for another couple of weeks.
“We do expect delays, particularly in the afternoons and evenings until mid-November, due to an ongoing runway construction project,” Media Relations Director Jennifer Mehigan said. “As always, we would advise passengers to check with their airline for the best info on their flight.”
The federal government has been shut down since Oct. 1 due to a deadlock
