PRINCETON, WV (WVNS) -- The City of Princeton received $15,000 in state funding from Delegate Joe Ellington's office in order to finish the new athletic fields at the wave pool complex.
The fields will be multipurpose, according to Princeton City Manager Mike Webb, allowing for soccer, peewee football, and softball to all be practiced and played on the fields.
He said the money will be used for equipment and goals for the field, as well as grass seed.
Webb said the community is already excited about the new complex.
"There's been a positive response to this. It's something that's needed, something that's going to be really for the next twenty years, thirty years of development for the city. That's something we always try to do is what we do now is really planning for the next twenty ye
