EUGENE, Ore. – Eugene police officials advise motorists to avoid Highway 99 between the ‘big Y’ and four corners due to firefighters working in the area, according to the Eugene Police Department.

EPD officials said that traffic is shut down in both north- and southbound directions in the area due to fire personnel responding to an operation in the area. Fire and emergency dispatch logs show that fire crews were dispatched at about 3:34 p.m. to an industrial commercial fire in the 100 block of Highway 99 North.
