Charlie Kirk's widow Erika Kirk is slated to sit down for her first TV interview since her husband's September shooting death.
Fox News is expected to announce Monday, Oct. 27, that the wife of the slain conservative activist will participate in an interview – set to air at 8 p.m. ET next week on Nov. 5 – with the network's primetime anchor Jesse Watters.
The mom of two took over the reins of her husband's group Turning Point USA a week after he was shot and killed Sept. 10 by a lone gunman in Utah. Watters and Kirk will presumably touch on a number of issues including the timeline of events on the day her husband died and Turning Point's future.
Watters will join Kirk at Turning Point's headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona, and at a "This is the Turning Point" tour stop at the University of Mississippi, better known as Ole Miss, in Oxford, Mississippi on Oct. 29.
At the Mississippi event, Vice President JD Vance will be introduced by Kirk before he debates students and answers questions in the same style as Kirk's husband. The live event will be streamed on Fox's streaming service Fox Nation.
Since her husband's death, Kirk hasn't disappeared from public life, mixing grief with the grind of front-facing work. Still, she has made few appearances outside of accepting her husband's Medal of Freedom awarded by President Donald Trump at a White House ceremony Oct. 14 and addressing the American public at a memorial service Sept. 21.
She also addressed the nation during viral live remarks streamed Sept. 12, two days after her husband died.
Turning Point USA was founded by Kirk in 2012 when he was 18 and has since become a prominent force in conservative politics. Along with its presence on hundreds of college and high school campuses, the organization hosts conferences, encourages youth organizing on conservative issues and produces various media such as the "The Charlie Kirk Show" podcast.
The group and Kirk have been closely aligned with the MAGA movement and are credited with helping mobilize support for Trump's 2024 presidential campaign.
