SUGAR LAND, Texas – Sugar Land police continue the search for burglars after a series of home invasions in the First Colony community and near Sweetwater Country Club.

The Sugar Land Police Department confirmed to 2 Investigates that a ninth home was burglarized last week. This marks the ninth break-in since the Fourth of July holiday.

On Sunday evening, the department held a community meeting at Sweetwater Country Club to address homeowners’ concerns about the recent robberies. Police say the burglaries have targeted unoccupied homes in the early evening and that no violence has been reported.
