After an extended search, the Atlanta Braves have made a decision as to who will manage the club next season.
According to a post on X from the team's official account, Atlanta has made a bit of an underwhelming hire and appointed Walt Weiss as the 49th manager in franchise history.
Weiss has served as the Braves bench coach since the 2018 season, helping Atlanta and former manager Brian Snitker win 680 games in that span. Prior to his stint as the bench coach, Weiss was the manager of the Colorado Rockies from 2013-2016, a tenure that may leave fans a bit concerned about the future.
