The Palm Desert Aztecs rallied from a tough start Monday in their CIF-Southern Section girls golf regional, but the strong finish still wasn't enough for the Aztecs to continue their season.

Palm Desert fell behind early, at one point being as low as 14th in the 22-team regional at Bear Valley Country Club in Victorville. But despite strong winds hitting the course throughout the day, the Aztecs steadied themselves and climbed to a fourth-place finish.
