GRAND ISLAND, Neb. — A newly expanded section of Highway 30 west of Grand Island will open to the public Wednesday.

The highway has been upgraded to a four-lane expressway. Organizers said the expansion will boost traffic safety, ease congestion and improve overall mobility in the region.

The project included realigning North Road and Stolley Park Road to intersect the new US-30. The changes are designed to bring connectivity and consistent traffic flow.
