MARION — Trauma is a difficult part of life for most people, especially children. How we help our most vulnerable populations navigate through the most difficult times can play a major role in the rest of their lives.
A free screening of the film "Resilience: The Biology of Stress and the Science of Hope" will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Marion Cultural and Civic Center. Following the one-hour film, a panel of community leaders will answer questions and discuss how people in Southern Illinois can support children and families.
