HANFORD, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Two men were arrested on Halloween after a traffic stop led to a drug bust, the Hanford Police Department announced Monday.

Police reported that just before 9 a.m., they stopped a vehicle for a registration violation near 11th Avenue and Cadillac Lane. Police soon learned the passenger, identified as 53-year-old Jose Martinez, was on active Kings County probation for prior drug offenses.

Based on Martinez's probation terms, officers conducted a search of him and the vehicle. On Martinez, officers say they found two straws commonly used for drug use, and he was detained.
