Pete Davidson can’t stop gushing about Eddie Murphy and we absolutely get it. The comedian, in a recent chat, opened up about his sweet bond with the Hollywood legend, calling him an inspiration since his childhood.
In an exclusive chat with PEOPLE, Davidson shared how he has been Murphy’s fan since the age of five or six. “I’ve been an Eddie Murphy fan since I was five or six years old when my mom bought me Delirious from FYE," Davidson recalled, referring to his mother, Amy Waters Davidson and Eddie Murphy’s stand-up comedy television special from 1983.
He added, “She thought it was another Eddie Murphy movie, and then I just fell in love with stand-up."
