There was an intriguing high school game, with Fernandina Beach High School taking on Bell High School in Fernandina Beach, FL, before controversy would take over.

Fernandina Beach had no trouble in this contest, but their opponent was not happy about the outcome.

As the Pirates ran the ball towards the sideline, a Bell High School football player wearing number 55 could be seen engaged with an opposing player.

The confrontation got so heated that number 55 snatched the helmet off the Fernandina Beach player’s head and then promptly swung at the face of his opponent, striking him with a vicious blow.

Refs promptly threw multiple flags on the Bell Bulldogs’ offensive linemen as he started to make his way off the field.
