BOSTON, N.Y. — The Erie County Water Authority (ECWA) has issued a boil water notice for a part of the town of Boston.

The water authority says that the impacted area includes the area of May Drive and Boston State Road, and extends to the general are of the intersection of Trevett Road and Fowler Road. All side streets in this area are included in the notice.

The advisory has been put in place until further notice.

Officials say that the boil water notice has been issued due to "the loss of water pressure as a result of a water main break in the distribution system supplying water."
