ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —
Just one year after it made history as New Mexico's one and only dentistry college, the Touro College of Dental Medicine is offering its first free clinics for kids aged 16 and under this week, conducted by students under faculty supervision.
The timely "post-Halloween" clinics will give supervised, professional-quality teeth cleaning, along with screening for other dental issues. By catching problems sooner rather than later, the cost of treatment may be much less.
"Everything that's being done is overseen by a licensed faculty member in the state of New Mexico.
