Amid the ongoing uproar over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in West Bengal, Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Kalyan Banerjee has ignited a new political storm by openly challenging senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders Suvendu Adhikari and Sukanta Majumdar.

Speaking at a public event, Banerjee said that if the BJP leaders truly wished to prove their connection with the people, they should give up their CISF security and visit Dankuni.

“Let’s see whether they can even return from there or not," he warned, adding, “Will see how Amit Shah takes him out safely from here.Come, Sukanta and Suvendu, bring your men, we will bring ours too. Come without the police; we will also be there without the police."
