During an interaction on DD Kisan channel, Kapil Meena, Director in the Ministry of Cooperation, elaborated on the objectives and benefits of the Government of India’s “Ann Bhandaran Yojana.”
He explained that the scheme, launched in the interest of farmers, aims to provide modern grain storage facilities in nearby rural areas. This will help reduce transportation costs, ensure better preservation and quality of food grains, and minimize post-harvest losses.
Meena added that the initiative will strengthen the rural economy by creating local infrastructure and generating employment opportunities, ultimately leading to sustainable income growth for farmers across the country.
