The panel led by former chairman Karra Rajashekhar registered a decisive victory in the Karimnagar Cooperative Urban Bank elections, the results of which were declared on Sunday, media reports say.

Polling for 12 director posts took place on Saturday across Karimnagar and Jagtial districts.

Of the 9,287 registered voters, 4,114 exercised their franchise at 31 polling stations-24 in Karimnagar and seven in Jagtial. Rajashekhar’s panel secured 10 of the 12 director seats, achieving a clear majority and reaffirming its strong hold over the cooperative bank’s leadership.
