Nagpur: The Unaided Schools Welfare Association has urged the government to grant CBSE schools the right to decide their own holiday schedules. The association has formally requested that Christmas holidays be approved from December 24 to January 1 . A letter in this regard has been sent to State Minister of School Education Pankaj Bhoyar .

On Monday, a meeting was held with the Secondary Education Officer and the Chief Executive Officer to discuss the issue of holiday planning. Association President Principal Neeru Kapai , Vice President Rajabhau Taksale , and Secretary Dr. John Kurumathin , among others, attended the meeting. The association represents 250 CBSE-affiliated schools across the region.
