Efforts underway to fill food gaps during shutdown

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- As the government shutdown reaches one of the longest in American history, people across the nation are leaning on state programs and local food banks to put food on the table.

Last week, Gov. Glenn Youngkin announced the Virginia Emergency Nutrition Assistance plan that went into effect today.
