CLEVELAND, Ohio — St. Ignatius is beginning a national search for its next football coach.
The school announced Monday afternoon in a press release that Ryan Franzinger has resigned from the position after three seasons since he succeeded the legendary Chuck Kyle. Franzinger played for Kyle and went on to Ohio State at linebacker.
“The school expresses its sincerest gratitude to Coach Franzinger, who will remain on staff as a theology teacher, for his dedication and service to the football program and for his unwavering commitment to the school’s mission,” the school issued in a press release. “In the coming days, Saint Ignatius High School will launch a national search for the next Head Varsity Football Coach.
