After a recent renovation to expand its programs and services, the Cambridge Youth Wellness Hub at 1145 Langs Dr. officially opened Monday afternoon.

Ontario’s associate minister of mental health and addictions, Vijay Thanigasalam, was in town for the grand opening of one of 10 such new hubs the province is investing in.

While Thanigasalam did not share the exact amount Cambridge received as part of the program, he said the province is investing $3.8 billion over 10 years to fill gaps in mental health and addictions care, create new services and expand programs.

“Thus far, we’ve seen that 98 to 99 per cent of the youth are very satisfied with the services being offered at Youth Wellness Hubs,” he said.
