RAPID CITY, S.D. (KELO) -- Monday afternoon, the Trump Administration announced SNAP benefits will restart with a delay and will be at 50% of what households usually get.
South Dakota Governor Larry Rhoden, who stopped by Feeding South Dakota in Rapid City, says South Dakotans should step up to help out.
Governor Larry Rhonden wants people across the state to help families in need by donating to non-profits and churches.
"I do think it's fair to ask them to consider stepping up to the plate and contributing and giving to programs like Feeding South Dakota or their church. To food pantries and options like that," Governor Larry Rhoden said.
"We have 288 partner food banks that we work with in the state, from church groups to community centers but what we really need is a product to buy
