On this week’s episode of “ The Daily Show ,” Jon Stewart gave a special shout-out to his fans as he renewed his agreement to host Comedy Central ‘s late-night program through 2026.

“Lots of news to discuss, including, apparently, something I read today, that ‘The Daily Show’ will be coming back for another year,” Stewart joked at the top of Monday night’s episode to rapturous applause. “We got another year. It is our 30th year when we come back on the air. And like most 30-year-olds, we are still thinking about going to law school.”

He continued, “But listen, we want to thank everybody. We don’t take for granted in any way how much your support means, so that we get a chance to keep making the best show that we can make for you. So we truly appreciate that. Thank you.”
