COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - An affidavit obtained by 11 News reveals disturbing new details about what led up to a Halloween triple stabbing that left one person dead and two others with life-threatening injuries.

Colorado Springs police said they arrested Matthew Regnier for first-degree murder, attempted murder, assault, and child abuse for stabbing three people in a domestic violence incident in the 1400 block of El Paso Street just before midnight on Friday.

One man died at a local hospital while two women were treated for life-threatening injuries.

Those who live in the area said they are still shaken up. Susan Reynolds said nothing like this has ever happened before in all her almost 50 years in the neighborhood.
