A 29-year-old man was found guilty of various drug charges last week.
An Elkhart County judge told 29-year-old Kailynd Baker that by selling drugs, he put his family in danger, even if he tried to keep them away from his illegal activity.
The Goshen News reports Baker was found guilty by a jury on three counts of dealing in a narcotic drug.
Investigators said controlled buys in August 2023 proved he sold fentanyl pills, totaling 80 grams over 30 days.
The judge said drugs “bring crime, guns and violence,” before sentencing Baker to 30 years on each count served concurrently, with 15 years in prison, five on home detention, and 10 on probation.
