The Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) senior men’s selection committee has picked the India A squad for the Asian Cricket Council’s (ACC) Rising Stars Asia Cup to be held in Qatar.

India T20I wicekt-keeper Jitesh Sharma has been picked to lead the 15-member team with a bunch of youngsters named alongside in the team. Punjab all-rounder Naman Dhir has been named his deputy.

Playing his first T20 since the IPL 2025 season for Royal Challengers Bengaluru a couple of days ago in Hobart, the 32-year-old Jitesh made an instant impact with his unbeaten 22 leading India to their first win in the five-match series against Australia. Jitesh had a prolific run during RCB ’s victorious campaign earlier this year, scoring valuable lower-order runs at a strike rate in excess of 176.
