LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Metro Police are on the scene of a shooting in Shawnee Park.

Two men were hospitalized after a shooting at Shawnee Park just after 5: 15 p.m. Monday evening, according to LMPD.

LMPD responded to a report near 45th and W. Broadway at Shawnee Park. Officers found a man inside a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound and provided first aid.

While treating him, officers were alerted to a second victim, another adult man found nearby in the park with a gunshot wound to the arm. Both were taken to University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

LMPD is leading an investigation. Detectives are working to determine what led up to the shooting and whether the victims are connected.
