ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A man was shot to death at a Stone Mountain apartment complex on Monday afternoon, according to DeKalb County police.

Police said the shooting took place at an apartment complex at 1401 North Hairston Road, which is the address for the Lakeview Apartment Homes.

Around 2 p.m., officers responded to a person shot at the complex, where they found the man with multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released.

Police said it appears the victim and suspect knew each other and “were involved in an argument that turned into a shooting.”

The suspect fled before officers arrived, according to police, who have not yet provided a description.

“There is no threat to the community at this time,” police said
