NORTH WALES, Pa. (WPVI) -- The parents of a student allegedly attacked with a Stanley drinking cup at Pennbrook Middle School have filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against the North Penn School District and one of its administrators.
The incident occurred in April 2024, when the student was in seventh grade.
According to the lawsuit, school officials failed to protect the victim despite multiple warnings from students and parents about threats and a "hit list" naming potential victims.

Police say surveillance video captured the student being struck in the head with a Stanley cup inside the school cafeteria. The injuries were severe enough to require staples.
