MILAN – Ida and Dundee waged a pair of five-set volleyball battles during the regular season.

The same thing happened when the teams met again in the opening match of the Division 2 District at Milan on Monday, Nov. 3.

But this time the result was different.

Ida outlasted its arch-rival 19-25, 25-21, 19-25, 25-4, 15-8.

“It was a true team effort tonight and a hard-fought battle on both sides,” Ida coach Ashley Begeman said.

Ella Curry led the Blue Streaks with 15 kills while posting a .438 hitting percentage.

Libbie Wolfenbarger and Addy Wilt added 9 kills apiece and Wolfenbarger hit.389. Brandie Gobrecht racked up 35 digs and Ella Taylor played well.
