One year before the election, a new University of Maryland, Baltimore County, poll finds a growing number of voters disapprove of the job Maryland Gov. Wes Moore is doing.
The poll of 757 registered voters gives the Democrats a 52% approval rating. It is the same approval rating Moore received in a similar poll in February.
Mileah Kromer, director of the UMBC Institute of Politics, said the decrease in approval numbers is within the poll’s margin of error, but the disapproval numbers are rising.
“The shift that you see is an uptick in disapproval,” Kromer said. “Back in 2024, 32% disapproved, and it is 44% now, but overall he’s still above water with 52% approval.”
