Get out of bed, put your feet on the ground, pull your pants up. It's a mantra Elizabeth Young tells herself on the days when her grief and anger feel all-consuming.

It has been 570 long and heartbreaking days since her only daughter, Jade Young , was fatally stabbed in a shopping centre.

It was the first day of school holidays, and Jade was standing next to her nine-year-old daughter as they shopped for a birthday present.

On Saturday, April 13, 2024, Joel Cauchi entered Westfield Bondi Junction armed with a knife and killed six people - Jade Young, Dawn Singleton, Yixuan Cheng, Ashlee Good, Faraz Tahir, and Pikria Darchia. He left 10 others injured with stab wounds.

It all happened within three minutes.
