KANSAS CITY, Kan. —
Day 34 of the government shutdown, and many Kansans are feeling the effects Monday night.

Kelly spoke at the Kansas City, Kansas, Public Library’s West Wyandotte branch off North 82nd and Parallel Parkway.
The governor told this crowd tonight, the timing of this event couldn't come at a more important time amid the government shutdown.
Her goal is to craft a budget that reflects the needs and values of Kansans.
As for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits being cut, Kelly said there is not a clear date on when Kansans would receive some partial SNAP payments.
