GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- New details have been released in the investigation involving a former North Carolina state representative who is accused of sex crimes with a minor.
Monday, a judge significantly reduced Cecil Brockman's bail from over 1 million dollars to $250,000.
The details were released during the bond hearing.
Brockman was charged in October with having a sexual relationship with a boy who is at least 15 years old or younger.
However, Brockman's legal team says he thought the alleged victim was an adult and was unaware of his real age until his arrest.
The judge made it clear that he isn't buying that claim, according to ABC11 News' partner the News and Observer. The newspaper is also reporting several new shocking details revealed in the Brockman case.
