Motorists are facing rush-hour delays across the M6, A500 and A50 this morning - where emergency services have been sent to a number of collisions. As reported by StokeonTrentLive earlier this morning and the southbound stretch of the M6 has been shut off between Stafford and Cannock due to what has been described as a serious collision.

Meanwhile there has also been a smash on the northbound stretch in North Staffordshire, between the two A500 junctions at 15 and 16. Onto the area's dual-carriageways and it's a very busy start.

There has been a collision on the A50 eastbound at Blythe Bridge - with queues currently spiralling back to Meir. That smash, which has taken place around the turning for Grindley Lane, has left the eastbound carriageway 'partially blocked'.
