(Reuters) -Fresenius Medical Care reported a third-quarter operating income that exceeded analysts’ expectations on Tuesday, in a sign that the dialysis specialist’s cost-cutting measures were beginning to take hold.

FMC reported an operating income excluding special items of 574 million euros ($669 million), against a company-provided consensus of 550 million euros.
