Videos show trucks spraying water right outside AQI monitoring stations at Anand Vihar — prompting AAP to accuse the BJP-led government of “manipulating” air quality readings. The BJP counters that the sprinkling is a legitimate dust-control measure, not data tampering. Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa even released his own AQI comparison claiming improved results under BJP rule. While both sides trade blame, Delhi’s AQI remains near 400 — and ironically, fitness runs and cyclothons went ahead through the haze-filled streets.
