Sam Allardyce is open to ending his two-and-a-half-year football hiatus by becoming the next Wolves boss.

The Midlands outfit are on the lookout for a new boss following the sacking of Vitor Pereira on Sunday.

Pereira, who had only signed a new three-year contract extension in September, was axed after the 3-0 loss away at Fulham.

The defeat - Wolves ' eighth loss in the Premier League this term - leaves them rock bottom after ten matches.

And they are now scrambling to find a replacement ahead of Saturday's trip to Chelsea , which is live on talkSPORT.

Former England boss Allardyce has told talkSPORT that he would be willing to help Wolves fight relegation, having failed to keep Leeds up in May 2023 from his four-game spell.
