MARSHFIELD − Marshfield Clinic region of Sanford Health and Security Health Plan have announced a $150,000 initiative to tackle food insecurity in Wisconsin and Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

The funding, part of Marshfield Clinic’s Caring for Communities initiative, aims to support community-driven projects that promote healthier lives by improving access to nutritious food, according to a community announcement.

Food insecurity, defined as limited or uncertain access to adequate food, is a significant challenge for many households. It can lead to preventable health issues, increased stress and a reduced quality of life.
