The City of Charleston announced modified refuse and recycling collection schedules for the weeks of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.

To help residents plan ahead, the City will share reminders through automated calls, newspaper ads and social media. For more information, call 304-348-6831.

Thanksgiving week (Nov. 24-28)

Monday: If your trash is normally picked up on Tuesday, the pickup will be moved to Monday, Nov. 24.

Tuesday: If your trash is normally picked up on Wednesday, the pickup will be moved to Tuesday, Nov. 25.

Wednesday: If your trash is normally picked up on Thursday, the pickup will be moved to Wednesday, Nov. 26.

Thursday: No trash pickup on Thanksgiving Day.

Friday: Normal pickup.
