Fourth-seeded Red Bank Catholic defeated 13th-seeded St. Thomas Aquinas 9-0 in the first round of the NJSIAA South Jersey, Non-Public A playoffs in Red Bank led by two goals from Mia Cupo.

Red Bank Catholic dominated throughout, holding an 8-0 lead at halftime.

The rest of Red Bank Catholic’s goals were scored by Paige Foye, Izzy Fasano, Ida Laureano, Bella Vaccaro, Paloma Caringi, Ava Phillips and Sophia Cascella. Heidi Wierman recorded a save in the shutout.

Red Bank Catholic (13-4) will host fifth-seeded St. John Vianney in the quarterfinals on Thursday at a time to be announced. This will be a rematch of last season’s quarterfinal, which Red Bank Catholic won.

St. Thomas Aquinas fell to 0-17 on the season.
