GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - Today is Election Day, and the polls are now open for residents to vote in their respective municipal races.

Voters will have the opportunity to cast their ballots for local officials, including the mayor, commissioners and council members.

Some voters will also see referenda on the ballots.

Polling places will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Election officials say any person who is in line at 7:30 p.m. will be able to vote.

Voters in New Bern will be voting in a runoff between mayoral candidates Jeffrey Odham and Holly Raby, and the Ward 4 alderman seat between Lainey White and Johnnie Ray Kinsey.

On Election Day, voters are assigned a polling place based on their residential address.
