Flight delays usually trigger a familiar scene at airports: impatient passengers venting and pacing around the terminal or scrolling through their phones. But at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi, Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal offered a strikingly different picture.

En route to Auckland, New Zealand, Goyal converted the unexpected downtime into an impromptu workspace. Sitting at the airport with official documents spread out next to him, the minister sifted through files and signed papers, making the delay look like part of his schedule rather than an interruption. Instead of waiting out the clock, he appeared absorbed in clearing pending tasks.

A journalist present at the airport asked him about working amid a delayed schedule.
