Detroit Tigers’ ace Tarik Skubal could be on his way out after failed contract talks with the team. MLB insider Jim Bowden opened up about the possibility of Skubal staying in Detroit next season, predicting that a trade might be inevitable.

Skubal, 28, just finished a brilliant season, posting a 2.21 ERA, 0.89 WHIP, and 6.6 WAR. He helped Detroit reach the postseason for the second straight year. The All-Star pitcher is the finalist for the 2025 AL Cy Young Award.
