A former prisoner who struck up a friendship with notorious prisoner Charles Bronson during his 30 years behind bars says he's never forgotten one encounter.
Noel 'Razor' Smith spent three decades in prison after committing over 200 robberies. Bronson, who was first imprisoned in 1974 for armed robbery , has earned a reputation as the UK's most violent prisoner following numerous high-profile incidents during his nearly 50-year incarceration.
When asked if he had encountered Bronson, Noel responded: "Yes. I love Charlie. He's a good friend of mine. Charlie was like our weapon in the 80s and 90s in the prison system. Everyone liked him because he attacked the screws."
