OSHKOSH, Wis. (WBAY) - Tuesday, people in Oshkosh can learn more about a proposed city budget that could lower property taxes.

The proposal recommends a flat tax levy of $7.73, nearly 50 cents less than the current rate.

If the city council passed the budget as-is, homeowners could see their annual property taxes go down. For example, a house valued at $250,000 would pay around $1,900 instead of $2,000.

To learn more, a meeting starts at 5 p.m. at city hall.
